Access
Liege is located in the heart of Europe, easily accessible by plane through Brussels (Belgium), Kölhn or Frankfurt (Germany), by speed train at Guillemins TGV train station and by car from Belgium’s neighbouring countries.
By plane
Brussels Aiport (BRU)
The easiest is to take a train from the Brussels airport train station to Brussels North train station (or Leuven train station) and then to take a train to Liège Guillemins.
Tickets : tickets for internal train connections must be booked in the train stations. You can check the timeschedule on the Belgium Rail Website or download the SNCB app.
Frankfurt airport (FRA)
You can take a direct fast train from Frankfurt airport train station (Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof) to Liege Guillemins train station, the journey takes 2 hours. These international tickets have to be booked in advance on the SNCB Europe website.
Köln-Bonn airport (CGN)
There is a direct Eurolines coach from the Koln airport (Cologne) to Liege Guillemins train station (2 hours). Tickets can be booked in advance on the eurolines website.
You can also take a direct train from Koln main train station (Hbf) to Liege Guillemins (you have first to take a train from Koln airport to Koln Hbf), tickets can be booked from here.
By train

From Brussels Stations (North, South or Central)
A lot of connections from Brussels stations to Liège Guillemins, Liège Jonfosse or Liège Palais are organized everyday and last about 50 minutes. For more information, visit the Belgium Rail Website.
From Zaventem Airport
If you arrived in Zaventem Airport, you will often have to take a train from the airport to Leuven and change in Leuven for a train to Liège. The total journey takes about one hour. For more information, visit the Belgium Rail Website.
From Charleroi Airport
If you arrived in Charleroi Airport you will have to take a bus in the direction of Charleroi (the bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the airport) and stop at the Charleroi Station where you have connections to the three train stations in Liège (Guillemins, Palais and Jonfosse) Belgium Rail Website. In general, this journey is longer than the others and lasts about two hours.
By car
A well-developed networks of motorways (E40, E25, E42, E313) makes access to Liège by car fairly easy.
